{you are much better}

The only advantage of not being too good a housekeeper
is that your guests are so pleased to feel how very much better they are.
-Eleanor Roosevelt

I have a confession to make: we ran out of diaper genie bags about a month ago and we've been putting Jacob's wet and dirty diapers in the kitchen garbage since.
At least the kid doesn't eat too much real food yet.
Sorry if this might be too much information for you.

I try to keep my house as clean (and pleasant-smelling) as possible
but sometimes I can't keep up with everything.
I have to remind myself that I don't have to put up an act...
my house can be a mess sometimes and it is normal.
Even if I have to take really deep breaths as I say it
It. Is. Normal.

Jacob and I are off to enjoy this nice, hot weather. So long dust and dishes.

I never bought one of those diaper genies in the first place. We just have use a normal trash can and put baking soda in it, which absorbs the odor as well as any of the special disposal devices they sell.
