{embrace young old friends}

Hey there! I'm linking up to Emily again today...
Its the first time I don't do a picture with the Snake.

Instead, I'm sharing a shot of me with some people I've known for a very long time...
since we were itty-bitty 10- and 11-year-olds.
All three of them went away for college while I stayed home (got engaged, married, yada, yada)
We kept in touch here and there when they came home for breaks and such
but when they moved back home after graduation
we picked up friendships right where they left off.

I'm lucky that I've been able to keep old friends
(like these gals and a handful of others)
I feel like a side of me comes out that really doesn't come out in any other situation.
There is something great about the fact that they've known me since before I even met my husband.
I'm free to be a nutty lady when they're around.

I've stayed in touch with my childhood friends too. There is just something very unique about those friendships.
