My mom is a pretty crafty lady
and she surprised me when she made these little pretty accent pieces for our Thanksgiving table.
A tea light holder
Artificial leaves (real dried ones would work too)
Sticks from the backyard (gathered by bored children)
I would have never thought of using that!
They seriously took three minutes each... including pausing for chatter and laughter.
1. Fill the tea light holder with rice
2. Arrange leaves as desired
3. Dig thin sticks in while letting them peek out above the leaves
They were so simple but added a perfect touch of fall.
I'm going to be trying these out with poinsettias for the Christmas table.
Of course I'll post about how they go!
