{ laugh vs. cry }

Around here when one thing falls out of place,
chances are many things will fall out of place.

Case and point:
our home slowly became a large mess this weekend
... and you wanna know what I did?
Totally ignored it.
Embraced it.
Walked over things.
Closed my eyes.

It just wasn't a priority.
I just told myself: "It'll get cleaned up at some point."

... and it will at some point.

I am not exactly sure why but I decided to to take snapshots of the disaster
I guess I just decided to see the humor in all of it...
my options were either seeing the humor
or crying.

For some ungodly reason I've decided to share
said incriminating and very embarrassing pictures with you.

Maybe you can relate.
Please tell me you can relate.

I'm still in my bathrobe at noon. Hott with two t's.

When the garbage gets full... fill up grocery bags until husband takes it all out.
I should be ashamed.

The Snake's new thing is to raid my pots and pans cabinet. Then he scatters them all over the house.

Do you keep carpet powder handy on your vanity too?

Clean laundry.

Dirty laundry.

Take heart...I can so relate. I would share my pictures, but I am sure that if I did child services would come and take my children. LOL!!

UM YES I can relate... not only can I relate but these pictures that you post might be considered normal to me... how do you keep a house tidy with a toddler constantly taking things out and dragging them around the house? I think the answer is you don't. You just wait until the end of the day and then clean it up. Well, that's what I do anyway. The other day I was so tired I said I'm just going to leave it because it's just going to look like this again tomorrow anyway haha.

Don't sweat it! Mondays are usually "get the house back into order" day for me. I can relate to your piles of laundry for sure! There are piles of mail and winter decorations spilling off of our hutch shelves.
I think that I learned to let go and not worry because the time spent over the weekend being social or just spending time with each other was worth it.

i am guilty of the ignoring it, not looking at it, thinking it doesn't exist as well with the messes in my house. until at some point, something in me cracks and i go on a cleaning binge!

Hi Esther! I just wanted to say thank you for your sweet comment. And I am sooo guilty of piling up trash until the hubby notices :) I'm not taking care of that dirty stuff!

Oh goodness I can so relate. :) With working full time and two toddlers in the house ours is hardly ever picked up. And we fill up a lot of plastic grocery sacks with trash before it gets taken out too. :) Visiting from Life Made Lovely!
